Sinuplasty is a technique where a small
balloon is introduced into the openings of the sinuses, is inflated and
is then removed. When Sinuplasty is performed instead of traditional
sinus surgery, there is significanly less pain, no need for packing and limited need to clean (debride) your nose after surgery. While not the right
choice for all sinus disease, for the appropriate candidate it offers a
minimally invasive option. No longer considered experimental, this
technique is covered by almost all insurance providers.
